Where we deliver

  • Local delivery: Greater Ottawa and surrounding areas from our yard at 5686 Power Rd.

  • Canada-wide: We can arrange lanes to most cities through our carrier network. Request a quote before checkout.

Delivery timelines

  • Ottawa metro: Delivery in 24 hours or less when booked before our daily cutoff and site access is ready.

  • Nearby cities: Typically 1 to 3 business days.

  • Special orders and multi-unit drops: Scheduled with you at time of order. Lead times vary by build and lane.

We will share a delivery window and text or call with an ETA update on the day of delivery.

Delivery methods

  • Professional tilt-n-load or Landoll placement to ground.

  • Crane service if required is quoted separately.

Site access and placement

You are responsible for site readiness. Minimum clearances:

  • 20 ft container: 60 ft straight line, 12 ft width, 14 ft height

  • 40 ft container: 110 ft straight line, 12 ft width, 14 ft height

Also ensure:

  • Ground is firm, level, and free of obstacles and overhead hazards.

  • Vehicles, materials, and low branches or wires are cleared.

  • Gate codes are provided and a contact person is available on site.

  • Desired drop spot is clearly marked.

If the driver determines the site is unsafe or inaccessible, delivery may be rescheduled. Additional fees can apply.

Fees and waiting time

  • Delivery fees are calculated by postal code or quoted by our team.

  • First 30 minutes on site are included. Extra waiting time is billed in 15-minute increments.

  • Second attempt or reposition fees apply if access is not ready or if the container must be moved after placement.

  • After-hours and weekend deliveries are available on request and quoted.

Weather and seasonal conditions

Severe weather can affect scheduling and site access. We may reschedule for safety. Winter deliveries may require sanding, plowing, or mats. If access is not feasible, a second-attempt fee may apply.

Pickup from our yard

Yard pickups are by appointment. Bring appropriate equipment, permits, and tie-downs. Title and risk transfer when the unit is loaded to your carrier.

Risk of loss and title

Risk of loss transfers on delivery to the shipping carrier or on placement at your site, as stated on your order. Inspect at delivery and note any issues with the driver.

Inspection and issues on arrival

Please inspect with the driver:

  • Confirm the container ID and grade match your order.

  • Open and close doors and check seals.

  • Quick look at the interior and roof where safely accessible.

If something is wrong, email info@seacancanada.com within 48 hours with your order number, container ID, description, and photos. We will repair, replace, or refund at our option if the wrong item or grade was delivered or there is a material defect that contradicts the stated condition at delivery.

Special orders and custom builds

Open side, double door, open top, flat rack, reefers, custom paint or branding, and any factory or partner modifications are scheduled individually. Lead times and delivery windows will be confirmed in writing. These orders are final sale.

Rescheduling and cancellations

  • Reschedule: No charge with at least 24 hours notice before your delivery window.

  • Cancel before dispatch: Refundable, less any payment processing fees if applicable.

  • After dispatch: Delivery fees are non-refundable.

Photos of actual units

Where a product is labeled In Stock Ottawa, photos are of the actual unit in our yard. For source-direct or wholesale allocations, we provide photo-verified IDs before dispatch.
